Other Voices Contest
Other Voices has opened up a NEW contest for this fall! Do you have a work of creative non-fiction that you think will blow us away? Submit it to the NEW fall contest (opens April 22, 2011). The poetry contest will run as usual.

Contest Regulations
- The entry fee is $25 for one piece of fiction or creative non-fiction (3,000 words max) or up to five pages of poetry. Additional entries are counted as seperate submissions and also cost $25 each. You can pay and submit online (this is our preference) or through snail mail with a cheque or money order payable to Other Voices Publishing Society. ALL entry fees include a one-year subscription to the magazine.
- Entries must be original and unpublished. No simultaneous submissions.
- Blind judging: submit the contest cover sheet along with your piece(s).
- Pieces must be received (not postmarked) by the contest deadline.
Prizes
$250 for the winning entry. Honourable Mentions will receive the choice of an Other Voices tote bag, travel mug or t-shirt.
How to Submit
There are two ways to submit to the Other Voices writing contest: we prefer you use our online submission form but you can still submit by regular ‘ol snail mail.
Option #1 · Submit By Mail
Your standard mail submission must include the following:
- The Contest Cover Sheet
- Your submission as per the above parameters
- Your cheque or money order for the appropriate amount ($25 for one story – 3000 words max – or up to five pages of poetry. Additional entries count as new submissions at $25 apiece.)
Note: Your submission must be received by the deadline, NOT postmarked by the deadline.
