Wanted: Volunteer Treasurer

While many of our volunteers are great writers and editors, none of us are very good with math. Since grant funding is integral to our ability to publish, we need someone to help us manage our money!

So if financial mangement is your cup of tea, read on for more details:

As a Volunteer Treasurer, you are detailed-oriented, a team player and have excellent organizational skills. You might be a student studying business or accounting hoping to gain practical experience, a retiree looking to use your skills and knowledge for a good cause or someone who simply has a knack for numbers.

The volunteer treasurer will be responsible for preparing financial sheets, assisting the grants officer with grant applications, tracking and keeping financial records in order, general financial management and attending monthly meetings. The time commitment is anywhere from 2 to 4 hours per month. The term is one year. Training and orientation will be provided.

If this position interests you, please contact Erinne at managingeditor@othervoices.ca.
